Panama Cruise April-May 2022

Image
Panorama from Puntarenas, Costa Rica From Florida, the Island Princess cruise ship went to Cartagena, Columbia. Columbia is known for their emeralds. This emerald ore is from the museum. This bridge is at the start of the Panama Canal east side. The tug boats guided us through. Small trains called "mules" pulled our ship through each lock. At the Animal Rescue Center in Costa Rica - spider monkey. Macaws, peacocks and other birds roamed freely. Show off... A baby sloth in recovery. Moved very slow. Lots of cool looking tropical plants everywhere. In Puntarenas, they make Oxcarts and paint them based on their village. We left Ft. Lauderdale in Florida, then to Cartagena, Columbia. Then through the Panama Canal, which took all day. Then to Puntarenas, Costa Rica. After that, we had stops in Huatulco and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Our end port was Los Angeles, then we flew home!
